Job summary

Aspion is recruiting a Claims Handler to manage a caseload of non-fault motor claims from setup to settlement. This office-based role in Smethwick offers structured processes and close collaboration with directors to drive timely cost recovery.

The ideal candidate will have experience in motor claims handling or accident management, strong communication skills, and the ability to navigate insurers, repairers and hire providers to keep files progressing.

Qualifications

• Experience in motor claims handling or accident management.
• Understanding non-fault road traffic claims and cost recovery.
• Confident dealing with insurers, repairers and customers.
• Clear written and verbal communication with strong organisation and follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and manage claims files following initial assessment.
• Obtain insurance details and issue letters of claim.
• Instruct engineers, obtain damage reports and coordinate with repair centres.
• Liaise with replacement vehicle hire providers and monitor off-hire dates.
• Communicate with customers, third-party insurers and other parties throughout the claim.
• Chase outstanding information and keep files progressing.
• Negotiate cost recovery and work towards settlement.
• Maintain accurate file notes and provide clear written updates.
• Work with colleagues to resolve issues and improve the claims process.
