Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Planning Manager in Stevenage to own end-to-end supply planning for a growing food and drink manufacturer. You will drive the master production plan, assess current planning processes, and lead the selection or implementation of advanced planning tools, including AI-enabled options.

This is a hands-on role with no immediate team; you’ll build the plan, chase materials, and work across functions to deliver scalable supply plans that support growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in supply, production or manufacturing planning, preferably in food, drink or FMCG.
• Ability to plan across multiple sites or external manufacturers.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills; comfortable with ERP/MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Turn demand and forecasts into production schedules that hold up, considering capacity and lead times.
• Plan capacity across internal sites and co-man partners, identifying gaps early.
• Ensure runs are ready with ingredients and packaging materials.
• Run scenario planning when demand or capacity conflicts arise.
• Chair planning reviews and communicate risks and decisions clearly.
• Set KPIs like forecast accuracy, plan adherence, capacity utilization, and supply risk.
