Mai Sushi in Chester is seeking a full-time Chef Manager to lead our team at Foregate Street. You will drive service standards and oversee daily operations, ensuring fresh, sustainable food production.

The ideal candidate has leadership experience, a strong focus on food safety and customer service, and a hands-on, can-do approach. Shifts start early, and you will work within a collaborative team to deliver high-quality dishes.

Qualifikationen

Aufgaben

• Lead the kiosk and team, maintaining audit standards for food and health & safety.
• Ensure the team maintains high cleanliness and food safety on site.
• Be highly organized, with a focus on forward planning.
• Prepare fresh ingredients by hand, including meat and raw fish products each shift.
• Accurately label products to ensure allergen compliance each shift.
• Be a skilled multitasker.
• An early riser as shifts can start at 6:00am.
• Learn new skills or improve skills already mastered.

Job Description

Mai Sushi is recruiting a full-time (35 hours) Chef Manager to come and lead our team in Mai Sushi - Chester, Foregate Street, Chester, CH1 1HP

Able to work as part of a team or on your own whilst maintaining high standards at all times,

And have:

• Experience in leading people, who can build confidence and capability in your team enabling them to succeed
• Ready to work in a fast-paced environment whilst always leading by example
• Pride in your work, constantly looking for ways to improve and continually learning
• A good understanding of Food Safety & Health and Safety regulations, ability to follow brand standards and comply with company policies.
• Reliable transportation for your commute to work early in the morning

And can:

• Be accountable for the Kiosk and the team, maintaining audit standards for food and health & safety compliance while meeting EHO expectations
• Ensuring the team maintains a high standard of cleanliness and food safety on site to maintain a safe environment for our customers, our clients and ourselves
• Highly organised, with a focus on forward planning
• Prepare fresh ingredients by hand, including meat and raw fish products each shift
• Accurately labelling products ensuring lawful compliance around food safety and allergen compliance each shift.
• Be a skilled multitasker
• An early riser as shifts can start at 6:00am some days
• Learn new skills or improve skills already mastered

Qualifications

Level 2 Food Safety certificate, HACCP, Allergens and COSHH are Desirable although not essential as full training will be provided.
