Job summary

Turning Point in Nottingham is recruiting a Support Worker for the Learning Disabilities team. Based at Cornish Close, you will provide person-centred support including personal care, budgeting assistance, shopping and community activities for people with learning disabilities, epilepsy and autism.

The role requires 18 hours weekly within a 24-hour service, with early, late and night shifts on a rota, including weekends and bank holidays. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Support people with emotional, physical and cultural needs
• Assist with personal care needs
• Support people with day-to-day life, including shopping, cooking and managing their own budgets
• Support people to take part in activities and community outings, including concerts, sports events and holidays or breaks
• Support people to build independence, learn new skills and live a healthy, active life
• Record support on the digital social care record system
• Work shifts across the 24-hour service, including early, late and night shifts, weekends and bank holidays
