Job summary

Collaborative Women UK CIC in Stretford is seeking a flexible Move-on Support Worker to help women in our accommodation secure housing and progress toward independent living. You will assess needs, identify housing options and support with applications and documentation.

The role requires strong safeguarding, communication and organisational skills, with travel between properties. Hours are 18.5 per week across several days, with potential to grow as the service develops.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to organise and manage multiple cases and tasks.
• Experience supporting vulnerable clients and maintaining professional boundaries.
• Full driving licence and access to own vehicle is preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Work with women to understand circumstances, goals and housing needs, and agree next steps.
• Help identify housing options (social, supported, private rented); register with providers; search, bid and complete applications.
• Assist with housing, benefits, ID, finances and service access paperwork.
• Support attendance at appointments and liaison with local authorities, housing associations, landlords and agencies.
• Prepare for independent living: tenancy duties, budgeting, bills and local services.
• Coordinate move-on arrangements for transition to next home.
• Liaise with housing teams and services to remove barriers and maintain progress.
• Track vacancies and applicant progress; support move-in, including room preparation and allocation.
• Maintain confidential case notes and records accurately and promptly.
• Identify safeguarding concerns and respond per policy.
• Travel between properties to meet and support women.
• Provide non-judgemental emotional support to help processing trauma and build self-esteem.
