Guardian Homecare in Basildon is hiring Learning Disability Support Workers to provide person-centred, empowering support to service users.

Our roles offer full-time or part-time hours across Basildon and surrounding areas, with flexible shifts including day, evening, and sleep-in/nights. Training is provided, and drivers with a licence are preferred due to community-based work.

Responsibilities

• Empowering Independence (develop essential life skills)
• Community Access (outings to college, shopping, activities)
• Personal care (dignified support with bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Medication support (collecting prescriptions, reminders, administration)
• Emotional support (consistent, encouraging presence)
• Encourage social engagement and family connections
• Monitor wellbeing and report changes to healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate documentation of support
• Respond to emergencies safely
• Work collaboratively with families and care team
