Job summary

Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council is seeking an Employment & Training Hub Support Officer to be a frontline contact for residents, jobseekers, learners and employers. You will assist in running the Hub, promoting opportunities and delivering events to help people into work and training.

The role requires strong customer service, communication, and organisational skills, with IT proficiency and collaborative working across partners to support community employment goals.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, business support or similar environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Confidence using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and digital channels.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, partners, residents and employers.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for residents, jobseekers, learners and local businesses.
• Support day-to-day running of the Employment & Training Hub.
• Promote training, employment and skills opportunities across the borough.
• Help plan and deliver recruitment events, workshops and employability activities.
• Provide administrative support to ensure hub efficiency.
