Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is seeking an Extended Personal Advisor to join the Care Leavers team at County Hall, Glenfield. You will build lasting relationships with looked after children and care leavers up to 25, supporting their transition to adulthood.

This is a permanent, 37-hour week role (Mon-Fri) with a salary of £33,129–£35,493 per annum (pro rata for part-time). DBS check required. Closing date 28 October 2026; interviews 11 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience with looked after children and care leavers in social care.
• Ability to organise a busy caseload with competing demands.
• Knowledge of legislation and guidance relating to care leavers.
• Ability to analyse information and report to the Team Manager.

Responsibilities

• Build lasting relationships with looked after children and care leavers up to 25.
• Provide targeted care and support for young people with complex needs.
• Manage a busy caseload and report regularly to the Team Manager.
• Demonstrate commitment to flexible, inclusive service delivery.
