Job summary

South Farnborough Infant School is seeking a caring and dedicated Learning Support Assistant with Lunchtime Supervisor duties for Year R/ KS1. The role focuses on supporting children, including those with SEND, to access learning in a calm, nurturing environment.

You will work with the class teacher, SENDCo and external professionals to deliver targeted interventions and track progress. The ideal candidate will be flexible, patient and able to build strong relationships with children, families

Qualifications

• Have previous experience of working with children with SEND.
• Be flexible, patient and calm in their approach.
• Work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo and external professionals.
• Deliver interventions and support programmes as directed.
• Support children in working towards targets identified within their individual learning plans.
• Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Be willing to attend relevant training and professional development opportunities.
• Develop positive relationships with children, staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Support individual children and small groups of pupils.
• Deliver interventions and support programmes as directed.
