Job summary

Keep Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils and teachers in a friendly, inclusive school in Harpenden. You will help deliver lessons, work with individuals or small groups, and assist with learning activities.

You will maintain a positive classroom environment, support safeguarding, and help with resources, playground duties, and school events. GCSEs and safeguarding training are expected; previous school experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in a school setting or with children is desirable.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND is advantageous.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above, plus safeguarding training.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
• Work with individuals or small groups to reinforce learning.
• Assist with classroom preparation and resource organisation.
• Provide additional support for pupils with varying needs.
• Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Support behaviour management in line with school policies.
• Assist with playground duties and school activities where required.
