Job summary

Teach is recruiting enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work across mainstream and SEND schools in Peterborough and the surrounding areas.

We are looking for caring, committed and adaptable Teaching Assistants who are passionate about supporting children and young people with their learning, development and wellbeing. We have opportunities across mainstream primary and secondary schools, specialist provisions and SEND environments.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children or young people with SEND welcomed, especially autism, ADHD, communication and interaction needs or complex learning needs.
• Reliable, patient and professional candidates preferred.
• Previous experience in a school or educational setting is desirable but not essential for all positions.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils on an individual basis, work with small groups or provide support across the classroom.
• Assist with learning activities, encourage positive behaviour and support classroom routines.
• Provide appropriate support to pupils with additional needs as required.
