Job summary

Hanham Woods Academy in Bristol is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join our team for the new academic year. This role is 24 hours per week, term time only plus insets, with a permanent contract. You will work under teaching staff to provide educational, personal and social development support, helping students access the curriculum and reach their full potential.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students' learning in class or small groups.
• Commitment to relevant qualifications including NVQ Level 2/3 and First Aid.
• Strong interpersonal skills and empathy.
• Good planning and organisational abilities for learning activities.
• Commitment to inclusion and working with diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of high-quality educational experiences inside and beyond the classroom.
• Help learners access the curriculum and engage positively with their education.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the academy and engage in training.
• Provide educational, personal and social development support to students.
