Papworth Hall School in Cambridgeshire is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with learning needs. You will mentor and guide pupils, helping them overcome barriers and build confidence both academically and personally.

You will collaborate with teachers to deliver creative activities, promote resilience and wellbeing, and nurture an inclusive classroom where every child can thrive and reach their potential. This role is full-time, permanent, start October 2026.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
• Resilient, calm, and confident in challenging situations.
• Creative and adaptable approach to supporting learning.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups to access learning.
• Build positive, trusting relationships to help pupils feel safe and engaged.
• Work with teachers to deliver engaging learning activities.
• Encourage independence, resilience and social development.
• Support emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour strategies.
• Create a calm, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
