Job summary

Papworth Hall School in Cambridgeshire is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with learning needs. You will mentor and guide pupils, helping them overcome barriers and build confidence both academically and personally.

You will collaborate with teachers to deliver creative activities, promote resilience and wellbeing, and nurture an inclusive classroom where every child can thrive and reach their potential. This role is full-time, permanent, start October 2026.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups to access learning.

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning, build confidence and achieve things they never thought possible.

This is far more than a classroom support role. You'll be a mentor, role model and trusted adult, providing the encouragement, structure and guidance that helps young people thrive both academically and personally.

Papworth Hall School is in the picturesque village in Cambridgeshire. It is within close proximity to Huntingdon and Cambridge.Our new specialist school caters for young people with complex communication needs, autism and associated learning and emotional needs and has the capacity for 30students.
