Job summary

Best Lives Limited on site in Chorley, UK, is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to help adults with learning disabilities, autism and additional needs live life on their terms. You will provide daily living assistance, support community involvement and attend appointments.

You will work as part of a supportive team, delivering high-quality, person-centred care that promotes independence and dignity. Flexible shifts including evenings and weekends may apply.

Qualifications

• We are looking for a caring, compassionate and reliable individual with good communication and teamwork skills.
• The successful candidate must be flexible and able to work a range of shifts, including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins where required.
• A positive, patient and person-centred approach is essential.
• Previous experience is desirable but not essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support in line with individual support plans
• Promote independence, dignity and respect at all times
• Support with daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning, shopping and budgeting
• Assist individuals to access the community and social activities
• Maintain accurate daily records and documentation
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and professionals
• Follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures
