Job summary

Outward is seeking dedicated Support Workers to assist adults with autism and learning disabilities in supported living settings. You will help with daily living, community access, and personal care, following individualized support plans.

Training in Positive Behavior Support (PBS) is provided, and a rota includes evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. No previous professional care experience is required; personal care willingness, empathy, and resilience are valued.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Willingness to work flexibly including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
• Staff must have access to a smartphone capable of receiving SMS and installing authentication apps.
• Experience with safeguarding and following support plans is required or highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care and support to individuals in line with their support plans and risk assessments.
• Enable people to access the community, develop independence, and pursue interests and goals.
• Support with daily living activities including personal care and budgeting.
• Act as a keyworker and maintain regular contact with the people we support.
• Attend essential training and apply learning in practice.
