Job summary
Partners in Support is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to empower adults with learning disabilities and autism to live life their way. You will provide emotional and practical support, helping individuals build confidence and independence, and participate in community activities.
No prior social care experience is required as full training is provided. Roles are available for full and part-time candidates in Stevenage with regular check-ins and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Empathy and genuine care for others.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Patience and respectful approach with adults with learning disabilities and autism.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Calm under pressure, with flexible approach to shifts.
- Driving licence is preferred in the UK.
Responsibilities
- Provide emotional and practical support to adults with learning disabilities and autism.
- Help individuals build confidence, independence and learn new skills.
- Assist with community integration and participation in activities of their choice.
- Support through regular check-ins, supervision and ongoing training.
