Job summary

Swanton Care & Community Ltd is seeking dedicated Support Workers/Carers in Treharris. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, based in a community residential service. The position involves providing practical help and emotional support to empower individuals to live the life they want, with emphasis on dignity and choice.

Full-time permanent role with no sponsorship. Training in handling challenging behaviour and learning disabilities is provided.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic, compassionate and committed to supporting people with dignity.
• Adaptable and flexible with excellent communication skills.
• Experience of challenging behaviour and/or learning disabilities preferred; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower people to achieve their goals.
• Promote health, well-being and inclusivity for the people supported.
• Facilitate social, educational or work activities of their choice.
• General housekeeping duties and personal care elements as needed.
• Complete a range of records and documents.
