Job summary

The Salvation Army's Lyndon House Lifehouse in Ipswich is seeking a committed Support Worker. The role involves delivering a high-quality programme of support to adults experiencing homelessness, promoting client choice and empowerment, and helping clients move toward more sustainable lifestyles.

You will work on a rota including evenings and weekends, with Level 3 qualification (or willingness to work towards it) and knowledge of benefits systems.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in a related field or willingness to work towards it.
• Knowledge of the main support needs faced by homeless clients.
• Knowledge and understanding of the benefits system.
• A positive attitude and motivation towards supporting vulnerable clients.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good team working skills.
