Choice Support in Canterbury is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Support Worker to join our small, caring team. You will support adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs to improve daily living skills, manage finances, and participate in activities such as arts and music.

The role offers flexible hours (full-time 39 hours per week or zero-hour shifts to fit your lifestyle), housework, safeguarding steps including DBS checks and references, and helping people gain

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for helping people in care.
• Willing to be flexible and adapt to change.
• Willing to lone work within a small team.
• DBS checks, references and work history reviews are part of safer recruitment.
• IT skills are required.

Responsabilités

• Help adults improve daily living skills.
• Assist with budgeting, bills and cooking to promote independence.
• Provide emotional support and accompany appointments.
• Offer medication support where needed.
• Facilitate groups and activities, including arts and music.
• Maintain tenancy and handle correspondence.
