Job summary

Weavers Lodge in Castle Cary provides a warm, supportive home for up to 8 adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. As a Support Worker, you will deliver person-centred care and help residents live more independently in daily activities.

You will work as part of a committed team, with training on Positive Behaviour Support and opportunities for development. Shifts include day and weekend work, with rewarding bonuses and long‑service rewards.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have experience in supporting individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
• Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is desirable and training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Support daily living tasks with dignity and respect.
• Promote independence by coaching life skills like cooking and budgeting.
• Provide emotional support and maintain a calm approach to behaviour that may be challenging.
• Collaborate with colleagues, families and professionals to ensure consistent, high‑quality care.
