Job summary

CareTech is recruiting a Support Worker in Coventry to provide day-to-day support for adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. The role involves leading a team, ensuring high-quality care, and being part of the on-call rota within St Marys, a specialist supported living service.

For applicants, experience in care, good communication, and the ability to build relationships with colleagues, carers and residents are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a care setting preferred
• Strong communication
• Experience working with young people and/or adults with Learning disabilities, Autism and mental health problems.

Responsibilities

• Provide day to day management of a team of staff working within the service.
• Take responsibility for the care provided to tenants/residents whilst on duty.
• Communicate effectively via verbal, written and electronic routes and maintain robust processes to ensure the cascade of information to the team and the engagement of team members with plans and objectives.
• Be part of the senior team on-call rota.
• Be required to develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, visitors, carers, members of the multi-disciplinary care team and senior professional and managerial staff.
