Job summary

Swanton Care and Community in Bridgend is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to provide practical and emotional support, helping people to live their chosen lives with dignity. You will work as part of a team to implement individual support plans and promote wellbeing, with opportunities to assist in social, educational or recreational activities.

Qualifications

• Be enthusiastic, compassionate and committed to respecting people’s dignity.
• Able to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
• Driver's licence is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations.
• Promote health, well-being and beliefs of the people we support in an inclusive way.
• Facilitate social, educational or work activities such as visiting family, walks, and shopping.
• Assist with general housekeeping duties including shopping and personal care.
• Complete a range of records and documents as part of the role.
