Job summary

Swanton Care & Community Ltd in Wales West is seeking a Support Worker to join our team in Neath Port Talbot. This part-time role offers 21 hours per week with day shifts. Sponsorship is not available.

You will provide practical and emotional support to empower people, respect individuality, and help them engage in the community. Support is required 24/7 across our services, with a focus on wellbeing and inclusive care.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical and emotional support to people we support, respecting individuality and enabling them to make choices.

• Facilitate social, educational or work activities (visiting family, supported employment, walks, shopping, etc.).
• Assist with general housekeeping and personal care elements.
• Complete records and documentation as part of the role.

About The Role

We are seeking Support Workers to join our team in Wales West.

Whilst fully embracing the company ethos support workers provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they want to live.

Support is required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

• To provide support to empower the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations, respecting everyone’s individuality and enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they wish, in line with their individual support plans.
• Promote the health, well-being, physical, emotional, cultural and spiritual beliefs of the people we support and ensure they are met in an inclusive way.
• To facilitate social, educational or work activities such as visiting family and friends, supported employment, walks, shopping and other recreational activities of their choice.
• General housekeeping duties that can include shopping, domestic duties as well as elements of personal care.
• As part of the role, you will need to be able to complete a range of records and documents.
