Job summary

Mirus Wales is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our Maesteg team on a 20-hour per week basis. You will help our service users build relationships, try new activities, and participate in local community life, supporting them to live good lives.

Applicants should have a full UK driving licence and a calm, outgoing personality with a sense of humour. The role involves driving our own cars and engaging in home and community activities in Maesteg, Bridgend.

Responsibilities

• Support people to do the things they enjoy, try new experiences, and live good lives.
• Assist with household tasks, shopping, meal preparation, personal care, and maintaining routines.
• Encourage and support people to strengthen relationships with family, friends, and their community.
• Work alongside professionals such as social workers, nurses, and occupational therapists to ensure people receive the best support.
• Listen to the people you support and support them to make choices about their lives.
