Job summary

Mirus Wales in Penllergaer, Swansea, is seeking a Support Team Manager to lead senior support workers and staff, delivering high-quality, person-centred care within contract and budget.

You will oversee care planning, risk assessments, safeguarding, and staff training, while promoting independence and community involvement for the people we support.

A full UK driving license is required, and you may work flexibly to cover out-of-hours shifts.

Qualifications

• QCF level 4/5 management qualification or working towards it.
• At least 1 year of management experience supporting people with learning disabilities.
• Experience liaising with external agencies, families, and representatives.
• Knowledge of Mental Capacity Act, Safeguarding, Health and Safety, DOLS, etc.
• Willingness to participate in Out of Hours service.
• Ability to work across multiple teams including MDTs.
• Full training and development opportunities.
• 20 days annual leave, plus Bank Holidays; cycle to work; travel at 45p per mile; EAP.

Responsibilities

• Ensure care planning and risk assessment processes are well managed.
• Uphold safeguarding standards and ensure staff training is current.
• Lead teams to deliver person-centred support and meaningful relationships.
