Job summary

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar is seeking a Social Care Worker for Goathill Campus, with two permanent roles: 1 x 24 hours weekly and 2 x 37 hours weekly. The post supports Adults with Support Needs to participate in local resources, promoting independence and tailored outcomes.

The role requires PPE use, PVG membership, and SVQ II in Care (or equivalent) with the possibility to undertake the qualification within 36 months of SSSC registration. Closing date: 19 October 2026.

Qualifications

• SVQ II in Care (or equivalent) is required; if not, ability to undertake and achieve within 36 months after SSSC registration.

Responsibilities

• Promote and support Adults with Support Needs to participate in local resources and facilities.
• Support in a range of settings including overnight support when required.
• Work as part of a team and communicate effectively to meet individual outcomes.
