Job summary

TeacherActive is partnering with a welcoming SEND provision in Nottinghamshire to recruit a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant. You will provide one-to-one and small-group support, helping children with SEND engage in learning and build confidence.

If you have experience supporting children with SEND, a patient, adaptable approach, and strong communication, this role offers flexible hours, weekly PAYE payments, and ongoing long-term opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
• Knowledge or experience of Autism and ADHD.
• A positive, patient and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support.
• Help make learning engaging and accessible.
• Encourage positive behaviour and participation.
• Celebrate pupils’ progress and achievements.
• Support the development of confidence, independence and social skills.
• Work closely with teaching staff to give every pupil the best possible support.
