Job summary

Dulwich Prep & Senior is seeking an enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant on a part-time basis to support pupils with SEND and help them access learning.

The role involves working closely with teachers, the SENDCo and other professionals to tailor activities, deliver targeted interventions and promote inclusion. Start Date: January 2027; Closing Date: 1 October 2026. Trust and safeguarding are central to the role.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be willing to undergo checks with past employers, online checks and an enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Providing tailored support for pupils with SEND, helping them access learning, build confidence and achieve their full potential.
• Working closely with teachers, the SENDCo and other professionals to adapt learning activities, resources and strategies to meet individual needs.
• Delivering targeted interventions to support areas such as literacy, numeracy, communication, attention, sensory needs and social development.
• Promoting positive behaviour, inclusion and wellbeing, building supportive relationships that encourage independence, self-esteem and engagement in learning.
• Monitoring pupil progress, providing effective feedback and contributing to learning support plans, reviews and ongoing SEND provision.
