Milk Education is recruiting a SEND Support Assistant to work with students aged 5-19 in a specialist setting in Hartlepool. The role involves delivering 1:1 and small group support, adapting activities to individual needs, and collaborating with SENDCo and teachers to support learning and wellbeing.

The ideal candidate will have good literacy/numeracy, a calm, patient approach, and a willingness to obtain or update an Enhanced DBS.

Qualifications

• 1:1 and small group support experience is desirable.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• A calm, patient and empathetic approach with adaptability.
• Willingness to apply for Enhanced DBS Update Service if needed.

Responsabilités

• Provide dedicated 1:1 and small group support for students aged 5-19 with SEND.
• Support pupils with Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language needs, SEMH and other learning difficulties.
• Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs and abilities.
• Build positive relationships to promote engagement and resilience.
• Work with SENDCo, teachers and staff to implement personalised learning strategies.
• Promote a calm, inclusive learning environment where students feel supported.
