Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd is seeking a Mentor for students with additional needs in the York area. The role focuses on supporting vulnerable learners to develop skills and achieve goals, with responsibilities including tailored interventions, progress tracking and evidence-based reporting.

The position involves 1-1 and small group support, plans for workload, and delivering interventions to improve basic maths, English, and personal development.

Qualifications

• Assess the needs of students referred for support by working with teams to design and deliver tailored interventions.
• Provide 1-1 and small group support to vulnerable learners.
• Manage workload efficiently to allow for planning, resources and delivering interventions.
• Maintain accurate records keeping track of learner progress.
• Monitor and report on learner progress and impact.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate academic support sessions covering basic maths, English and primary learning goals.
• Provide skills sessions on communication, confidence and time management to prepare learners for adulthood.
