Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Education Support Worker to join a specialist Secondary SEN School and College in Bury, supporting young people aged 11-19 with a range of additional needs. You'll work as part of a supportive team, providing 1:1 and small group assistance inside and outside the classroom to help students overcome barriers and achieve positive outcomes.

Previous experience in education or care is desirable, but passion for helping learners matters most.

Qualifications

Experience in education, care, support roles is desirable but not essential.
Genuine passion for helping young people and making a positive impact.
Full-time availability and reliability.

Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual student needs.
Encourage engagement, participation and progress in learning.
Support students with communication, emotional regulation and social development.
Promote independence and essential life skills.
Assist with personal care where required.
Foster positive relationships built on trust, consistency and encouragement.
Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Celebrate achievements and support students to reach their full potential.
