Job summary

The Northam Care Trust is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for residential services in Devon. You will provide person-centred support to people with disabilities, enabling them to participate in their community and exercise choices within their support plan.

The role covers diverse settings and may involve evenings, weekends and sleep-ins to meet individual needs. Salary ranges £13.04 to £13.54 per hour, on-site, permanent contract, with full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Passionate about making a difference in the life of people with learning disabilities.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Willing to undertake required training, sometimes outside normal hours.
• Willing and able to drive or travel between locations.

Responsibilities

• Promote individuality, rights, and independence of people supported.
• Safeguard people with learning disabilities and report abuse.
• Support people to express aspirations and develop new skills.
• Assist with daily activities: meals, transport, home upkeep.
• Maintain records and share information with confidentiality.
• Work as part of a team and follow policies.
• Attend training as requested.
