Job summary

GSL Education are seeking experienced Primary Teaching Assistants for opportunities across Croydon starting in October 2026. You should have previous UK school TA experience, ideally with primary-age pupils, and be available for day-to-day supply, long-term roles, or permanent positions.

We are building our team for the new academic year and welcome candidates who can support pupils with behaviour challenges, maintain a calm, positive classroom environment, and work closely with teaching staff

Qualifications

• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a UK school.
• Experience with primary-age pupils.
• Strong classroom support and behaviour management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across primary year groups.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group learning support.
• Assist with behaviour management using a calm, consistent approach.
• Collaborate with teachers to plan and deliver learning activities.
• Help pupils stay focused and engaged in lessons.
• Support pupils with additional learning needs where appropriate.
• Build positive, professional relationships with students and staff.
