Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to support pupils at a Rochdale primary school from September. You will assist with classroom activities, reinforce learning in groups, and help create a positive, inclusive learning environment.

The ideal candidate will have an Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher, an Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one), and the Right to Work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Level 2 TA qualification or higher.
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Ability to support pupils with a range of abilities and needs.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with classroom activities and learning tasks.
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.
• Support pupils with additional learning needs where required.
• Help pupils remain engaged, focused and motivated.
• Support children's social, emotional and behavioural development.
• Encourage positive behaviour and promote an inclusive classroom environment.
• Assist with classroom preparation and organisation.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
