Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistants to work in Rochdale on a full-time, September-start basis. You will support teachers, contribute to inclusive learning, and help pupils develop academically and socially.

The role requires a Level 2 TA qualification or higher, previous school-based experience, and a proactive, patient approach. DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain) and Right to Work in the UK are essential.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher.
• Previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
• Positive, patient and nurturing approach.
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Ability to support pupils with diverse abilities and needs.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with classroom activities and learning tasks.
• Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.
• Supporting pupils with additional learning needs where required.
• Helping pupils remain engaged, focused and motivated.
• Supporting children's social, emotional and behavioural development.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting an inclusive classroom environment.
• Assisting with classroom preparation and organisation.
• Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
