Job summary

Oasis Academy Fir Vale is seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work under teachers and support staff. You will deliver targeted learning and care programmes to help pupils access learning and reach their potential, with a focus on SEND and EAL support.

The role involves collaborating with staff, preparing materials, adapting activities, and monitoring pupil progress while maintaining a safe, inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills to support learning across the primary curriculum.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND and EAL, and ability to adapt activities for different learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with pupils and promote high expectations.
• Provide targeted support for pupils, including those with SEND, EAL, EHCPs and additional learning needs.
• Support pupils' safety, wellbeing, personal care needs and emotional development.
• Promote inclusion and ensure all pupils can access learning opportunities.
• Assist with implementing IEPs, EHCPs and personalised learning plans.
• Deliver structured interventions and learning activities addressing individual needs.
• Monitor and report pupil progress to teachers and parents.
