Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is recruiting Learning Support Assistants for secondary schools on the Wirral, Merseyside. Roles involve supporting lessons, 1:1 and small groups, and assisting teachers with resources in a positive classroom environment.

Ideal candidates will have a passion for education, strong communication skills and a patient, adaptable approach. DBS clearance is required or can be applied for.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, caring and adaptable approach.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A valid enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one).
• Desirable: experience in secondary schools and SEND.

Responsibilities

• Support students in lessons, 1:1 and in small groups.
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and learning resources.
• Help students stay focused and engaged with their learning.
• Provide support to students with additional learning needs.
• Encourage positive behaviour and independent learning.
• Build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Support interventions and targeted learning activities.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
