Job summary

Laurus Trust in Cheadle is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with SEND across the school. You will work under the SEND Coordinator, delivering in-class support and targeted interventions, helping students develop independence and confidence while collaborating with teaching staff.

The role is 32.5 hours per week, term-time only, with potential for some flexibility to align with school needs. A caring, proactive approach and GCSEs in Maths/English are essential.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent.
• Experience in a school environment is advantageous.
• Prior experience in a similar role is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support identified students within the classroom and in small groups.
• Deliver in-class support and targeted interventions to promote learning progress.
• Collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff to foster independence, confidence and social inclusion.
