Job summary

Laurus Cheadle Hulme is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to support students with SEND within a welcoming school environment. You will work under the SEND Coordinator, providing in-class help and targeted interventions to boost academic and social progress.

This fixed-term contract covers a 32.5-hour week during term time, with an emphasis on developing independence and confidence in pupils. A supportive team and commitment to safeguarding are highlighted throughout the role.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English at grade A*-C or equivalent.
• Experience working in a school environment is advantageous.
• Prior experience in a similar role is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-class support to identified students.
• Deliver one-to-one and small-group interventions.
• Collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff to support progress.
• Promote independence, self-esteem and social inclusion for students with SEND.
