Job summary

Novus is seeking a Learning Needs Support Practitioner to join the education team at HMP Birmingham. You will identify learning barriers, develop tailored strategies, and deliver one-to-one and small-group support to help learners engage and progress.

The role is permanent, full-time (37 hours per week), with benefits including generous annual leave, wellbeing time, pension, and employee support schemes.

Qualifications

• Hold Level 2 qualifications in Literacy and Numeracy (Grade C or above).
• Hold Level 2 in Hidden Difficulties / Learning Support or willing to work towards.
• Experience supporting learners with diverse needs and challenging behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group learning support to learners.
• Identify individual support needs and develop practical strategies.
