Job summary

Quack Recruitment and Training in Uttoxeter is seeking a proactive Learner Engagement Officer to support learners onto fully funded training programmes and keep them engaged on their journey into employment.

You will engage with prospective learners by phone, email, outreach and face-to-face conversations; build relationships with Jobcentre Plus and referral partners; assist with screening, eligibility and enrolment; and maintain accurate records to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in learner engagement, recruitment, or employability outreach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with diverse communities.
• Ability to manage enquiries, follow-ups, and deadlines.
• Commitment to safeguarding, equality and learner wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Engage with prospective learners via calls, emails, outreach and face-to-face conversations.
• Explain training opportunities and help learners match programmes to goals.
• Develop relationships with Jobcentre Plus and referral partners to generate referrals.
• Support initial screening, eligibility checks and enrolment with the admin team.
• Maintain regular contact to encourage attendance and preparedness.
• Monitor attendance and engagement; follow up on absences.
• Work with tutors to address barriers to participation.
• Support learners to progress to interviews, employment or further training.
• Maintain accurate records of contacts, referrals and progression.
• Raise safeguarding or wellbeing concerns through appropriate channels.
