Job summary

Petrus is seeking a compassionate and motivated support worker to assist service users in our Oldham projects. You will work with individuals facing homelessness and complex needs, empowering them to participate in community life and work toward independent living.

You will join a team committed to safeguarding and high-quality records, with rota shifts as needed, and a friendly, values-driven workplace offering flexible options and a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be compassionate, motivated and organised.
• Experience supporting vulnerable people, ideally in housing, homelessness or support services.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work effectively with partner agencies.
• Confidence in maintaining accurate records and support plans.
• Ability to manage a varied workload and respond to challenges professionally.
• Strong commitment to safeguarding, health and safety and equality.
• Teamwork and person-centred support to empower people.
