Job summary

Cromwell Community College in Chatteris, Cambridgeshire, seeks a committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant for a permanent, 35.5 hour week across 39 weeks per year.

You will support learning and pupil wellbeing under teaching staff, assist with planning, assessment and personalised learning plans, and help create a positive, inclusive environment where pupils can engage with learning and build confidence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and adapt learning activities for individuals, groups and classes under the direction of teaching staff.
• Support pupils with additional learning, social, emotional, behavioural and pastoral needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning.
• Contribute to planning, assessment, progress monitoring and the implementation of individual learning and development plans.
• Provide short-term class supervision and support pupils during examinations, including facilitating access arrangements where required (training provided).
• Build positive relationships with families, colleagues and external agencies to support pupil progress and wellbeing.
