Job summary

Cranleigh C of E Primary School is seeking a committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support high-quality teaching and learning across the school.

Role: HLTA, 14.5 hours per week, 38.6 weeks per year, working under the supervision of teaching staff to support pupils, including those with SEND, and to promote inclusive practices. Training and development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.
• Ability to work under the direction of teachers to support learning.
• Willingness to participate in whole-school initiatives and training.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning to increase pupil achievement, including SEND.
• Promote inclusion and encourage participation in learning and extracurricular activities.
• Support delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum and a safe learning environment.
• Use IT to enhance learning and manage resources effectively.
• Observe pupil progress and report to class teacher.
• Supervise a class in the teacher's absence.
• Collaborate with staff to plan and prepare learning activities.
• Maintain positive behaviour and orderly classrooms.
