Job summary

Aspire People is seeking an Early Years SEN Support Worker in Loughborough to join a welcoming setting. You will provide practical and emotional support to young children with SEN, helping them settle, gain confidence and ready to learn.

The role is Monday to Friday, term time only, with an immediate start where needed. The role involves 1:1 and small-group support, collaboration with teachers, and nurturing approaches to promote inclusive learning and positive behaviours across the early years

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children with SEN is essential.
• Experience within an Early Years, nursery or school environment.
• Patient, caring and supportive approach.
• Understanding of autism or other additional needs would be beneficial.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Support children with additional needs within an Early Years setting.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support where required.
• Help children develop their communication, social and independence skills.
• Support with sensory needs and emotional regulation.
• Work closely with teachers and other staff to follow individual support plans.
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement through a calm, nurturing approach.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
