Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd is working with a Manchester primary school to recruit a Year 5/6 Teaching Assistant on a full-time basis. You will support the class teacher with general classroom learning and provide targeted 1:1 and small-group SEN support.

You’ll help pupils make progress, deliver interventions in English and Maths, and ensure pupils with SEN access the wider curriculum while helping maintain a positive learning environment throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Experience with KS2 pupils (Years 5/6) and SEN provision.
• Confident delivering 1:1 and small-group support.
• Strong communication and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils across the Year 5/6 curriculum.
• 1:1 support for pupils needing additional help.
• Deliver small-group interventions in English and Maths.
• Support SEN pupils to access the wider curriculum.
• Assist the class teacher and maintain a positive learning environment.
