Job summary

Cygnet is seeking a confident Care & Support Worker to be based at Dove Valley Mews in Barnsley. You will work bank 12-hour shifts, delivering person-centred care to adults with learning disabilities and complex needs, helping them maintain independence and a meaningful daily life.

Responsibilities

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care
• Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
• Learn about individuals' specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
• Assist with and report on medical & welfare needs
• Safeguard
• Maintain a safe, clean environment for all
• Supporting service users to access the community, to attend things like work, college, hobbies & activities, days out & holidays
• Supporting the service users to grow, develop & learn through engaging them in tasks such as cooking & cleaning
