Job summary

Cygnet Group is recruiting a confident Care & Support Worker to join our Dove Valley Mews residential service in Barnsley. You will work full time, 42 hours per week on 12-hour shifts, including alternate weekends and night shifts.

The role focuses on delivering person-centred care to adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. You will provide physical and emotional support, help individuals with daily tasks, and support them to access the community.

Responsibilities

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care
• Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
• Learn about individuals' specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
• Assist with and report on medical & welfare needs

• Maintain a safe, clean environment for all
• Supporting service users to access the community, to attend things like work, college, hobbies & activities, days out & holidays
• Supporting the service users to grow, develop & learn through engaging them in tasks such as cooking & cleaning
