Job summary

Dove Valley Mews in Barnsley is part of Cygnet, providing residential care for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. We are hiring a Care & Support Worker on a full-time 42-hour week, with 12-hour shifts and alternate weekends on a two-week rolling rota. DBS check is required.

Salary aligns with care sector rates and progression opportunities exist. You will support individuals to lead a fuller life, with person-centred care, monitoring welfare, and helping them access community

Responsibilities

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care
• Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
• Learn about individuals' specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
• Assist with and report on medical & welfare needs
• Safeguard
• Maintain a safe, clean environment for all
• Supporting service users to access the community, to attend things like work, college, hobbies & activities, days out & holidays
• Supporting the service users to grow, develop & learn through engaging them in tasks such as cooking & cleaning
